355...The Crystal Palace Strategy

I'm pretty sure I got this from WDWToday or the Unofficial Guide but I have used it for so long now that it is mine!

The Crystal Palace is located in the heart of the Magic Kingdom at the end of Main St.

The goal of this strategy is simple.  You want to schedule your ADR (Advance Dining Reservation) for the earliest time slot they have available, usually 8:05am.  The Magic Kingdom will open at 9.  You want to eat and have a lovely breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends.  You should finish right around 9 when the park is officially opened.  At that time you are already halfway into the MK and if you head to Adventureland or Frontierland  you will beat the crowds and be able to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain without any wait.  You can also grab a FastPass for one of those rides, go ride Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion and come back and ride Splash or Big Thunder with your Fastpass.  You should be able to get most of that side of the park done before the crowds get too big.

When you first head to the Magic Kingdom there will be a big group of people waiting for the park to open.  To the righthand side of the park entrance you will see a cast member letting people into the park early.  You simply go up to the cast member and say you have an reservation at the Crystal Palace and they will let you in.  Another nice thing about being in the park before it opens is you can get a great picture in front of the castle without people in your way.

The Crystal Palace has always been one of our favorite character meals.  The breakfast buffet is outstanding.  The adult buffet is $22.99 and the children's is $12.99.  The breakfast runs from 8am until 10:30am.  The characters there are Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore.  They also have a parade where the characters and all willing and sometimes unwilling children march around the tables.  They serve a traditional breakfast.  There is breakfast pizza, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.  The made to order omelets are amazing.  Sadly, they no longer have the breakfast lasagna which may have been the greatest single breakfast dish EVER!  I really think the Crystal Palace is a great value and an even better strategy option.  Good luck.
